SCS Safety Health and Security Associates is recruiting for:

POSITION TITLE: Safety Inspector Consultant (Part Time Per Diem)
POSITION SUMMARY: A safety inspector performs inspections to ensure that workplaces comply with the company, clients, or government's (OSHA) safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities include inspecting tools and equipment, work sites, reviewing documents and specifications, assessing the workforce performances and conditions for clients, observing facilities, observing construction sites, and ensuring that the client’s employees have protective gear and safety measure knowledge. Gather feedback from client’s employees and communicate in an open and positive manner to assess levels of satisfaction with the client’s employees, their outlook on the work environment, and to identify problems and devise solutions. Write inspection reports, write the results and conclusions of the inspection in a clear and intelligible way. Log the inspection processes such as contact, outcome, and steps taken. Present reports to display results, statistics, and conclusions to an audience in a transparent and straightforward way. Moreover, a safety inspector utilizes the findings of their observation to recommend methods that will help workplaces maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone. They may also investigate workplace incidents to keep them from happening again.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Minimum High School Diploma required. Preferred associate degree or higher.  OSHA 30-hour certification required. A valid driver's license is required. Bilingual ability (English and Spanish preferred not required) Attention to detail.  Construction experience. Accuracy in reporting. US Citizen. Ability to pass a background check. OSHA 500 and 510 preferred. OSHA 501 and 511 preferred.
Physical Demands: The Safety Inspector may be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders or stairs, over rough terrain and lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Types: Part-time, Per-Diem
Pay: $30.00 per hour depending on experience to start.
 
Schedule:
· 8 to 8 ½ Hour Shift or 4 hour Shifts.
· Variable hours (ex: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 2 PM to 10 PM)
· Monday to Friday
 
License:
