| Women in the Building Industry is partnering for a week with Great American Community Kitchen! Each week Great American Community Kitchen provides 2500 free meals a day to families struggling to make ends meet, due to the wake of Covid-19 and rising costs of food. Volunteers will be handing out meals and/or boxing meals into containers for distribution. Join us in volunteering at the Great American Community Kitchen Food Truck during the week of July 22nd-27th. Each day, there are three (3) volunteer slots available, so please sign up for your preferred day. Meet a team member from the Great American Community Kitchen at the bright yellow food truck at 10:00 am. Since this event takes place in late July, expect warm weather. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, bring a hair tie, and apply sunscreen. Remember to bring plenty of snacks and water for yourself. If you capture any moments during your volunteering, kindly share your photos by emailing them to Jana McDonald at jmcdonald@nvbia.com.
